IBN BATTUTA

Ibn Battuta is a famous 14th century Muslim traveler and scholar. The main objective for his journey was to travel to Mecca and perform the sacred pilgrimage. He was well educated and from a wealthy family, which helped him embark on a journey throughout the Muslim lands, including Africa, Asia, and India. Ibn Battuta’s accounts are extremely significant, especially in today’s society because it gives a detailed perspective on life during the 14th century.
